National Eucharistic Congress

What: A National Eucharistic Congress, a pilgrimage of almost one hundred thousand Catholics to encounter Jesus together in the Eucharist

Who: Catholics from across the United States

  Where: Indianapolis, IN

  When: July 17-21, 2024

In 1976, the United States hosted the 41st International Eucharistic Congress in Philadelphia. The keynote speakers were Cardinal Karol Wojtyla (soon to be elected Pope St. John Paul II) and Mother Teresa. Pilgrims came from all over the world. The event lasted for a week and was attended by 1.5 million people total, including 44 cardinals and 417 bishops. It was considered a massively fruitful event and was responsible for many vocations and conversions.

Now, for the first time since 1976, thousands of Catholics from across the United States will gather for a unifying National Eucharistic Congress from July 17-21, 2024. They will journey on pilgrimage to Indianapolis to together encounter Jesus personally in the Eucharist and be sent back out into their parishes and communities on mission.
